This fanciful vertical presentation of Ben Hecht's 424 story titles comprises a bibliography of the titles of his literary journalism published in his 1001 Afternoons in Chicago series for the Chicago Daily News in 1921 and 1922 and subsequently for his own publication, The Chicago Literary Times. Hand-set lettering on chartreuse and blue card with decorative spiral binding. This version truncates to book size Kovan's installation of over 21 feet, which includes colorful en collage images of Hecht's Chicago. Size when closed: 11" x 8 1/2" x 4"
